2009 is here, its like we should be on the moon or something … maybe living in space. There are tonnes of awesome vanity presented shows coming in vancouver. Sweet shows for sweet friends!!

Mint records is having a xmas party. Its hosted by your bff Narduwar and he’s also showcasing past interviews from his video vault. You can read it all about in an article I wrote for beyond robson here.

Christmas to me is a time of overly decorated houses, snowmen in backyards and spending time with friends and family. But here in Vancouver where condos outrun houses and there’s a lack of snow, the only thing I can rely on is spending time with friends and family. The good people at Mint Records are putting on a party but not just any party… a Ridiculous Early Christmas Party. Last year Mint Records not only put on a party in Vancouver , but also in Victoria, and the year before that Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand joined Nardwuar the Human Serviette’s the Evaporators on stage to sing “Take Me Out”. This year will probably be no different and equally full of surprises and good times………

Women (jagjaguwar) totally ruled the show, they were a little late due to some microphone problems but rounded off the bill nicely. The show was moved to the Peanut Gallery and not the Dimetric Studios because it shut down, dam po po. Hot Panda (awesome edmontonians), The Bicycles (toronto friends) and Gang Violence opened the bill to almost 300 kids that packed that sweaty basement venue.

Here is the latest show, I’m working with Beyond Robson to promote the show. Its a Post Municipal Election Day party with Jagjaguwar records band – Women, The Bicycles (from Toronto), Hot Panda (local friends from Edmonton), The Clips (one of my FAVORITE bands in Vancouver) and Gang Violence. Woo! Its all going on at the Di Metric Studios – 1114 East Pender St
